Chrysolite is a 56 year old German, who likes to write about her own and other people's experiences on alternative health, self-sufficiency and organic-green-eco-spiritual issues. As certified NLP-practitioner and certified herbalist, she would like to share her expert knowlege with a wider audience. Her writing career started with an article on city farming plus six articles on angora rabbits in Country Smallholding Magazine in England. She now lives and works in Spain on her 100% organic smallholding situated in a remote mountain valley in the Costa Blanca region.

So article spamming seems to be quite popular these days, the questions that arise now with that are: "Is it worth doing?" and "What, if anything, can we learn from it?"
Pine tar extracted from any pine was used to caulk ships, to make roofs waterproof and it still plays a big part in natural medicine where it's used for skin conditions and cough.
No internet connection, no money, no ideas, just the wish to make some money online and getting paid ALWAYS for it, even if it's only a little. Build up a pension maybe in case the German government can't hack it when I'm 65 and 9 months old, maybe ...
Well, I quite like it on Mother Earth, but what if? So I spent a bit of time thinking about what exactly I would like to do IF I had to find myself a job on a spaceship.
"Go on, have a glass of wine ... " or whatever else. What is it in this society that one always has to have a drink?
Normally pallets are returned to sender as they are expensive and made of pine. But as soon as a pallet is broken in one place, it's of no use for transport and we can pick it up for free in a skip or in a builder's yard or, and here's the "secret" tip, at the "back" of garden centres...
A short walk through the history of perfumes and how to make your own with organic essential oils.
Although there is a great dissatisfaction amongst students and teachers with the current teaching methods and although modern, more efficient teaching methods are available (i.e. Internet and NLP), nobody wants to embrace these new teaching methods. Let me tell you about Monique and G...
Dying natural fibres with berries is normally a fun project one can do with children too on a rainy Sunday afternoon. But I had to produce a "colour chart of white angora wool died with different berries" for a client, so it took a little longer than just an afternoon.
A long, long time ago, my mother sent me this little poem. It was written by a German lady called Elli Michler, but I don't know more about her. The poem is so nice, I would like to share it with you and tried to translate it as best as I could.
Cleverly decorated, recycled tyres can be made into nice planters. And with the "right" system, it's low maintenance, can be done anywhere and produces organic food and/or flowers in abundance.
A series of home-made remedies you can make yourself for you and your family. Covers medicinal herbs, water cures, castor oil packs and much more ...
It seems that the prices for herbal salts in health food shops are vastly exaggerated. I've just made a herbal salt myself and it's totally delicious and always adds the extra minerals and taste to many dishes.
Since I've got two little black milk goats again, I'm a happy bunny too! ;) I can make Kefir, herbal cream cheese, yogurt, Halloumi cheese and fine hard cheeses. Today I made "quark".
In May and June, big and small strawberries are the superfood enjoyed by all our senses and their leaves have exceptional medicinal value too.
I hope you like the following "Bob Monkhouse one-liners" as much as I do! Enjoy! ;)
We are coming to the end of an era. We know it and we feel it, but we don't know what is going to happen and how we will fare. Neither did my grandmother back then ...
"Swami Bhaktivedanta brings to the West a salutary reminder that our highly activistic and one-sided culture is faced with a crisis that may end in self-destruction because it lacks the inner depth of an authentic metaphysical consciousness. Without such depth, our moral and political...
Psychologically it is not really a good idea to make the smokers (i.e. approx. 30% of the population) the black sheep of the society after over a century of advertising smoking as "manly" and something that the "touch ones" do. Any grand scale negativity is inappropriate. Yes, we now ...
After a long, cold and wet winter, finally spring has arrived here in Spain with almost summer-like temperatures. Time for a cool, delicious and healthy aperitif.
On Spanish television it was announced on the14th of May 2010 that all tobacco/smoking products will carry a hologram shortly with explicit images of throat cancers, lung disorders, open mouths displaying black teeth and much more. Why? What is the point?
I think we can be optimistic for various reasons. A genuinely sustainable global economy is driven for ward and given fresh impetus by goverments and individuals changing in the right direction consistently.
Oh, you think I got this title wrong? - Think again! Never mind how wrong I put it, it's still wrong!
Being the "typical" Aries, I had to go and find out. Born and raised in Munich (that's Europe/Germany/Bavaria/Oktoberfest for our oversea's readers), I thought sailing around Europe would be a good wheeze to find out which country might be the "green-est".
These glorious insults are from an era before the English language got boiled down to 4-letter words.
