Depression

This is a short poem that I wrote in 1985 after witnessing a depression from Bay of Bengal passing as a great tempest over to the shore where I was staying that night lonely as a bachelor in a dormitory when all of my roommates went home on that weekend.
Depression
Alone-
in the night
The Sea wept:
Quite depressed
for its loneliness,
ruminating in solitude;
imprisoned
in depths of Infinitude.
Far in the corners
Horizons threatened -
the edge of universe.
Sky bowed low
Onto the thudding waters
to console.
Tiring tides
crippled
And never touched the skies.
Wind,
much moved and stirred
betwixt
the distressed sea
& shedding sky,
turned into devilish whirl
whispering the message
of Depression.
Bleak---
