So, you are new to wikinut, or you've been here a while, but the key to acutally making money that you will need to know. It's so simple, but many do not do this.

How to Make Money

This is simple, write a page, then hit publish. In fact it is so simple most people do not do this. In my experience, few people will actually follow this advice to make money with wikinut.

The same people who will then complain to anyone will listen on the internet that they did not make a penny on wikinut and therefore it is nothing but a time waster. Oh they will list all the reasons they didn't but the real reason is that they did nothing, not even published a page.

The other one which I have noticed is the “experiementors” they only write one page, and lo and behold there is no money to be had. They have done nothing more than write one page and wait. There is such a thing as a bit of participation. There is also a thing called linking from other sites... it is called work! They also will complain that one can not make money with wikinut.

What they never mention are these points, or they do not do these points:

Points One and Two

1) They signed up. They often do not even fill out a profile. Then they left, never to return. often I am sure they had good intenetions, but the cerifying emalls seems to stop them from publishing. Check your spam box on yoru email, then cerify your email. This takes exactly four seconds to do.

2) They have not written a page. Let me be clear if you want to make money there is a little link that say “write a page” Click this link and write a page. It is so simple most people do not do this. Writing a profile is great, but you only done one tiny part of what you need to do on wikinut to make money.

Points Three and Four... Might Haves Points

3) They might have written a page, but they do not publish it. The next step is hitting publish, and usually within an hour it will either be accepted or not. To publish a page you will need to validate your email address. Four seconds people. A draft is a draft and it is not published, and you will not make money that way!

4) They plan to write but forget about the site: This is a fact that makes one wonder why you would sign up in the first place. To make money you have to write more than a profile. In fact, to make money with wikinut you need to write a page. This holds true on any site, forget that site and you will eventually lose. Same with older pages on wikinut and your older websites!

Points 5 and 6.. look At them

5) They have not read the rules: If they have written a page they either do not get a star page, but they also spend time not doing anything more to improve that page. The edit button has its uses.

6) If they have written a page but they have not published more over time: They stop making money. Beyond quality and quantity, you are not going to have “one hit wonders” you need to build up your business. To make the payout each month with wikinut, think of this way, you need to make 16 pence a day. To make it easier, you will need to build these pages. The more pages the more chances to make money. As long as you link your pages!

No You Have to Understand

7) they don’t understand quite how the money works: Yes you get paid by impressions, but the key to making money with wikinut is this... you need to get others to be interested in the ads which are displayed to make a bit of royalties. Otherwise it will take you a long time to make money. This means you will have to build up your work and keep on linking. Then publish all over again.

To recap: In my mind it is reasonably easy to make money with wikinut, but you have to begin somewhere and that somewhere is publishing a page, and then adding links to that page from as many sources as you can go. It is the same idea with almost any website, but most important for wikinut in particular.

To get started making money join wikinut, and start by validating your email and publish that page!

Very good advice Rebecca, as always. I just want to add that writing for the web isn't that much different from writing for the print media. I started out publishing when there was nothing but the print media. With the print media, if we wanted an editor to buy what we wrote, it had to be something that his readers would be interested in reading about. The same thing applies to writing for the web, if we want to develop a following, if we want people to seek out what we write, we have to write what they want to read. Too many people write about anything that catches their fancy without any concern about whether it is something other people want to read about. People who want to get paid for what they write have to write for their readers, not for themselves.

Good advice Rebecca. What we all need to succeed is to take action. Very good plans without action equals failure. Registering without writing articles will result in a resounding failure at wikinut.

Nicely written rebecca. So true too. I have not written a page since the 16th of last month. Good thing I have been working on some here and there and will be back at it in a few. To be perfectly honest, I should have stopped and taken my rest a few weeks earlier but, I knew I had to get at least get out 5 new quality pages before I do go. No matter your following, most people do tend to forget about you. I will also hit Twitter and facebook today, to sell my goods. I have done that once a week since I took my break. The bottom line is, as my son always says "Do the work son!". That is key!
Congrats on the star page, it is well deserved. As always, thank you for sharing.:)

Hi,
How does one get others to be interested in the ads which are displayed? Does one have control over the ads placed?
