I Wanted to Die..

There had been a conflict in my life whether to live or die.

But I made up my mind to enjoy this wonderful and beautiful life after many vacillations.

That make a great will power and faith in the Creator.

But, I wanted to live...

I wanted to die
for I was angry with this world.
But I chose to live
just to see the calm of my heart.

I wanted to die
for I was ridiculed.
But I chose to live
just to see that I laughed it off.

I wanted to die
for I was deserted by my dearest.
But I chose to live
just to see that I became their nearest.

I wanted to die
for I was criticized.
But I chose to live
just to see that I lived with it.

I wanted to die
for I was belittled.
But I chose to live
just to see that I grew up by myself.

So, I wanted to live
For I was fed up of dying
And I chose to die
when it comes on its own way.

Good job Mr. Rathna! You may not choose die because life is an adventure and you have to pass it all... Show the world that you have more power to stand and face it with smiling. You may not choose die because i believe you have more friend around this world who care and love you 'cause all of us are a big family :)

So heartfelt, Rathnashikamani! You are a great poet, and move me with your words...Dying is easy, it's living that's the hard work my friend...It is surprising how hard we cling onto life...but I am so glad that we do...

Very emotional but yet enlightening. We need to keep life in perspective and view it as a gift from the creator. Glad you chose to live.

Life becomes miserable when agonies and afflictions are unbearable and burdensome. However, the desire to live is a far more challengeable venture and to brave the odds and obstacles is the mission of mankind all through the ages.

You have the essentials of a poet, you are a really poetic one. On the other side, I'm a bit prosaic. But I do appreciate poetry. It's so touching, alluring and inspiring.

Sunita,

Thank you for the appreciation. Your comments have expressed the gist of my poem.

Prosaic or prose, a verse is adorable when the messages goes straight into the heart.

Never bother about the prose, your writing is professional and I like it.

Excellent! 2nd poem of yours, I read. Sincere and clean like mountain running water in a rivulet. I am glad we cooperate.

Thank you, I'm honored by your keen observation and attention you've showed to the details of my poem.

Your poetry is a great craft work. You chisel out the redundant words and carve a marvelous sculptor out of the chosen words giving an astounding shape with the imagery you portray.
