Qualification
a head full of notions
some desire for employment
Who knows when all else fails
pretzel logic and chaos prevails
Those who live under the sink
bored at their own deprivation
a castle of sorts exists, of course
la-la land, wisp of lullaby
Such are dreams away from home
tricks of fate deciding factors
Mother is always a mother, yes
possibility of father, more or less
Here we are at December’s end
No one has paid for November
A year for sky messages
pink dawns and lavender hues
and death, a cloud of September
Amazing, this maze of life
a journey dictated by distraction
whose ends more oft become
And no one knows where it begins
this three foot hedge of childhood
We wander wide-eyed, happily lost
look forward to the day
when our eyes peer over the top
gather in the meandering mist
weep and forever some way we are lost
