Life is too short and it is painful though I have no choice but to live with it and enjoy it before retirement comes.

A Dry Leaf---Tuyong Dahon

Leaves are like ideas in the mind
They come when needed
They flourish and give life
Light and great wisdom

"Ang mga idiyang napipinta sa isipan
Kung lilinangi’t palalaguin ng tama
Sila’y magbibigay ligaya’t liwanag
At karagdagang kaalaman sa buhay."

When ideas have served their purpose
They need to be swept away
We must constantly sweep out the old
And give way for the new one

"Nguni’t pagkatapos silang pakinabangan
Sila’y wawalisin at papalitan sa isipan
Upang bigyan ng daan ang sususnod
Na bagong ipupunlang kaalaman."

Man breathes for life
As he reaches
His old age
It will cease

"Ang tao’y humihinga para mabuhay
At sa kaniyang pagtanda lilisanin niya
Ang lahat ng bagay at siya’y babalik
Sa lupa na kaniyang pinagmulan."

And will fall apart
Like a dry leaf…

"Katulad ng mga dahon na malago
Sa mga sanga ng isang punong kahoy
Kapag sila’y natuyo na-kusa silang
Babagsak sa lupa’t doon mananahan."
