Maximize Your Use Of Facebook

Facebook was created not just for social networking purposes. Millions of its users are also using Facebook to promote a site, a community, an article, businesses, products and services and many more to people around the world as this media tool is considered by millions of its users as a word-of-mouth advertising platform. I found it interesting. This article will answer the details - how I ably maximize my use of Facebook for my blogging or my writing hobby.

Mark Zuckerberg--The Hero

On October 28, 2003, Mark Zuckerberg, wrote Facemash, the predecessor to Facebook while attending Harvard as a sophomore. The site represented a Harvard University version of Hot or Not. According to The Harvard Crimson, Facemash "used photos compiled from the online facebooks of nine Houses, placing two next to each other at a time and asking users to choose the 'hotter' person."

To accomplish this, Zuckerberg hacked into the protected areas of Harvard's computer network and copied the houses' private dormitory ID images. Harvard at that time did not have a student directory with photos and basic information, and the initial site generated 450 visitors and 22,000 photo-views in its first four hours online. That the initial site mirrored people's physical community—with their real identities—represented the key aspects of what later became Facebook.

The site was quickly forwarded to several campus group list-servers but was shut down a few days later by the Harvard administration. Zuckerberg was charged by the administration with breach of security, violating copyrights, and violating individual privacy, and faced expulsion, but ultimately the charges were dropped.

What to Enjoy at Facebook?

At Facebook users may create a personal profile, add other users as friends and exchange messages, including automatic notifications when they update their profile. Users may join common interest user groups, organized by workplace, school, or college. Users can upload photos and videos. Users can advertise their products and services to million of people around the world. Facebook had become the second home for bloggers, journalists and other writers for their hobbies and careers; den of politicians specially during election, a place for fishing, farming, gardening and other internet games, also for chatting, dating and etc.

If there is a Will, there is a Way

If you want to have a direct connection of your Wikinut page to Facebook you can actually do it. The mechanic is as simple as 123 steps. The first thing that you would do is to determine which of the two URL links you wil use: Is it your Author's RSS Feed Link or your Personal URL Invitation Link?

Which ever you chose from your two URL links to connect your Wikinut page to Facebook it will work. Already I have proven it. This is about creating a page or a community page aside from your Facebook Profile account.

How to Create a Facebook Page?

If you log-on to Facebook you see these words written on the right top: Home, Profile and Account. Click Home and when it opens look the "Ads and Pages" located below your profile photo. Then click Ads and Pages, when it opens you will see "Create an Ad" and under it "Create Page". Next, click Create Page, when it opens you will see the following: Community Page (left of the page) and Official Page (right of the page).

If you chose Community Page, write now the page name under it and click Create Community Page and your new page will open. Next edit your page by adding image, providing some basic information - this include your website link for your page (you can use either your wikinut Author's RSS Feed link or your wikinut Personal URL link), post status update - (here you can share the link of your article posted at wikinut), Promote your Page on your website or blogsite by adding like box, Set up your mobile phone (optional), Send status updates to your Twitter followers by clicking the Connect to Twitter. Your page now is done. Congratulations!

Branding Yourself To Social Networks Attract Traffics

When I created my Facebook page "Write and Get Paid" two days ago, aside from my Facebook account at which the link of the website I used was my wikinut personal URL invitation link, it helped bring traffics to my wikinut page. This is how I maximize my use of Facebook!

Hit Wikinut and Get Paid.
