When Saudization blasted many of foreign workers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, immediately have started worrying. Some of them including myself have wrongfully interpreted it as a threat. But those were normal feelings and reactions that each and everyone has exhibited. However, it is better to stop harrowing instead; learn the lessons and the good tidings of Saudization.

Job is only temporary

You have to accept that Job is only temporary. In the Kingdom, the retirement age will start at 55 years old. If you reached this retirement age and your company decided to send you home - you cannot stop it. If you met and accident or got sick and has stopped you from working - it could be a valid reason that your company will send you home.

Saudis graduates need jobs too

The unemployment rate for Saudis in the Kingdom is high especially for the young graduates. Every year the country has produced ten of thousands newly graduates. Yes some of them are already working on Saudi government offices around the Kingdom. Although still, the government could not accommodate all of these young energetic newly graduates from colleges and universities.

Reason why Saudization is prioritized

The unemployment situation in the Kingdom pushed these young energetic Saudis to unite and started calling for a peaceful rally, protest and demonstration - asking the government to address their grievances and the dilemma of being unemployed. This is one of the many reasons why Saudization is introduced and prioritized in the Kingdom nowadays and we have to appreciate it.

Everyone needs job

It is known to all that Saudi Arabia is one of the richest countries in the whole planet for its oil productions and is considered as one of the biggest oil producing countries in the whole world. Yes – its citizens are receiving a monthly or yearly oil stipend and other forms of alms from the government but the country's population is drastically increasing. And these young Saudis need jobs too for their future and ambitions.

The world is big and round

If you will leave the Kingdom as it is necessary, to give way for the objectives of Saudization, accept it wholeheartedly, positively and peacefully. Think about that the world is big and round. There are still many countries in this wide-world opened and accepting job seekers to work for them.

Develop your talents and skills

And if you are decided not to work abroad anymore, there are many opportunities to venture. If you will have the interest to develop your talents and skills there are available trainings and seminars to help you develop them and eventually you certainly can start small businesses at your home country. I remember in 2009 former US President Bill Clinton has endorsed the direct sales and MLM business that helped thousands of American people to reach their dreams come true!

A wake up call

I just wish and hope that Saudization will be a wake up call to our Philippine government as well to stop building our country on the concept of exporting manpower. It would be better if my government would come up with plans and create more jobs for our graduates that would pay fairly well.

It would be a daunting task for the Philippine government to absorb OFWs displaced by that Saudi policy what with Aquino's lack of vision or road map to address the spike in unemployment in our country. The revolts in the Middle East saw the repatriation of thousands of our compatriots in recent months left to fend for themselves unemployed. But I appreciate your optimism, kabayan. Great article.

From Marcos, Aquino, Ramos, Estrada, Arroyo and again to Aquino - exporting of manpower had become a dead set on concept. No alternatives can change it. I even thought that our government looked at us as commodities - has given the best training for the purpose of exporting.

I understand OFWs helped so much para maesalba ang ekonomiya ng ating bansa - and our Phil government is receiving at least between 15 to 16 billion dollars a year mula sa remittances nitong more 8 millions tutubing naglipana sa mundo.

Til now I never heard yet about Pres. Aquino's plan for the displaced OFWs.

Now I read some write-ups that other Gulf countries like UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait are also planning to nationalize their workers - this plan if stressed will not only affect the Filipinos but also other foreign workers. Thank you dude Buzz for your insightful comments.

I hope there is an opportunity for the coming graduates to practice their profession. Now, fresh graduates of nurses are not allowed to train in any hospital and no one caters applicants without experience but the countries mentioned in this page... The future is already imminent. Graduates may never practice in their respective profession if there is no opportunity at hand. If the government cannot do something about it, who will?
