~blessed be the grave~the afterlife~we cannot forget that which we do not forgive~wrongs cannot be undone~victims and survivors understand~life goes on~witnesses and confessors press their hands against that final door~raise their heads and move on~

~After Blessing ~

We eulogize through a
selective and most times
unintentional process
we refer to as memory

Wrongs are not righted
they are rather
come undone
probably not so much
as a rite of forgiveness
rather the spirit relaxing
from what can no longer
do it harm
that it might, in fact
cause damage to itself
in the senseless act
of fear and regret
for what is forever
and ever passed

The dead are thus
excused from the table of life

"The dead are thus
excused from the table of life" Great thinking makes a great poet.

An extraordinary end of a poem that is not an end in reality.

Thank-you. I agree with your reality.
