~Four months before I met my wife on the internet I wrote this piece~a year or so later we were married~that was seventeen months ago~tomorrow’s Valentine’s Day~this is for Kathy~it’s okay to dream~
~What canvas, the body, and painted with lips sweet and concise, poetic device~no beginning~there will be no end, whose masterpiece, romancing mystery, accepting what we cannot know, mystique~
~Sounding/Initiate~
Words appearing on glass, ink applied to the page, calming and exciting all at once, erotic, slightly ecstatic. A hand has placed itself against the door of your loneliness and said through its touch that there just might be someone who cares on the other side, whose heart, whose lips, whose… breast you lay your head while you close your eyes. Your voice hums into their body, your hands “sound” rhythm pressed into their back with a gentle thump-thump.
What canvas, the body, and painted with lips sweet and concise, poetic device. No beginning; there will be no end, whose masterpiece, romancing mystery, accepting what we cannot know, mystique. Applied and begun in our own blood awaiting some “one” to share it, the art of holding on, learning when to let go and to cherish the in-between.
The unconditional release of preconceived notions, the weight and way of sin, unreasonable expectations lain aside, a prerequisite that you may just be. Emotional initiate, each tomorrow and
instance of moment, reality compressed, intimacy gathered near for a few moments on a lonely night.
