~Tsunami~

I have clipped my toes from the bottom of this photograph. The day I snapped it was one of wonderful idle comfort. I sat in my old beach chair, a cold beer in my hand. On a whim, I picked up my camera and took this shot. She’s running there in the shadows, down to the beach, to enjoy a quick dip in the cool water before seeing me off. My skin is still warm where her hand touched me. “Come on with me; you’ll wish you had when you’re back in that awful city in the states!” Aye God, how right she was. Earthquakes and oceans make us small; her lovely water come to claim her, all I have left in the world. I have clipped my toes from the bottom of this photograph.

Melancholic and unforgettable life experience.
I don't have words to say.

Deeply sorrowful... that cannot be consoled.
