A Smile is so Wonderful Always

Smile lights up life. Morning is best time to try it on and do not worry too much...everyone does it. Before you swing your cat in the woods, laugh...or at least smile.

Begin mornings with a smile

When I awake in the morning, one of the toughest things to do is smile except when I think of my coffee cup and my mom bringing it to me. I have smiled so many times at my coffee cup that I guess it sometimes smiles back. Isn’t that wonderful? Next time, look at your coffee cup. Or your cat -- they always crack a grin.

Smile is tough

I never used to smile. When you are thinking about your mathematics test you do not smile. When you think about doing your homework you do not smile. Even when you think about games hour…ah yes, you begin to smile. There are things worth smiling about. In fact, when I think about some of the girls, I begin to smile…all the way to school…and back.

Life is serious

On the flip side, one must consider the serious aspect of life too. There is too much going on to sit around and smile. Think about how many bats there are hanging in the trees, think about the many oceans waves that have risen and died, think about birds that have made their nest laid their eggs and moved on…I mean nobody really noticed anything at all, but these are real and they have already happened. Even a cat looks up to things like this, especially if there is a young chick in the nest.

Tale of one beggar

It is universal, a king may smile or it may be a beggar. Take a look at this event. Chucking a pebble disdainfully at a dog, the beggar crossed the street. He knew his mentor at the 4th cross street would be along in a few minutes and would toss him a coin or two. Sure enough, the man in the brown suit came swiftly across the road and…bumped into an old friend. His good deed for the morning forgotten, he turned towards the far side of the road, chatting with his friend. The beggar had lost a portion of his morning income. And yet he could not help himself…he smiled.

Wipe your feet

So why smile? Smile is a kind of doormat that tells the world – “I am in a happy mood”. Some people wipe their feet on it others read the message and put their doormats out too. What happens when you laugh? You are opening out your doors and windows and letting the sunshine into your life. Now, that is a good way to live. Never seen a cat laugh though.

Repair those creaking windows

Many people have a creaking window, they just cannot decide if they want to laugh out or not. They settle for the doormat, they smile. It is not a bad thing, except if someone catches you smiling to yourself. My mom just does not like my doormat. She suspects I have been after her cookies or been pulling the cat’s tail.

Not a cloud but a smile

There are some occasions in life when your smile comes on naturally. It is like the wind that blows the trees and the white fluffy clouds in the sky. They must happen. After you have completed your studies, you revise it and then close your book. You begin to smile. Not consciously, it is kind of natural….like the cloud in the sky. Now you know why your cat wipes its face so much.
If you feel like smiling, smile…and not because you have not received your penny.

Yes, I wish more people would smile. I've been told it takes more energy to frown!

Good post, Snerfu. Smiles go a mile in terms of opening the doors to friendship and spreading the cheer as it is also the longest word in the English language as there is a "mile" in between the ss! Genuine smile is reflected in our eyes - siva

Yes my good friends, a smile shared removed the mile in the distance we maintain in our relationships. We can go around in circles until the day we decide to smile and close that distance between us. Thanks for dropping by.
