Mother Teresa is a phenomenon in the God's creation.
The poem 'LIFE' is well-known as a great quote from her wonderful sayings.
This is an attempt to understand what is LIFE and its interpretation from each line in that poem.

Here, I examine how 'Life is a game' and how to 'play it'.

Life is a game, play it.

Game is defined as a contest with rules to determine a winner. And there would be judges to determine the winner.

God almighty is the only judge who judges the game of our life.

Mother Teresa is an eternal winner in the God’s kingdom of Lifegame where any number of players can be the winners as long as they stick to the rule of compassion, patience and unconditional love.

Generally any game we play lasts for some time. But life’s game is played for a lifetime. The game of altruistic service started by Mother Teresa has no time limits. She admitted innumerable volunteer players to her team. Her team is worldwide. The game is endless. Every orphan she saved is a credit point earned. Every patient got revived is a life for her game. She was getting charged with life every time she rescued a destitute and rehabilitated in her home.

The rewards and medals she has been honored with from all over the world were never coveted by her for her natural way of playing the game of life she chose. She knew that she was a winner when she was determined to dedicate herself to the cause of people. She realized strength of her will at a very tender age. She was blessed with an infinite capacity to be a Mother of the millions.

She played the game of life very seriously but with no intention of winning laurels. She took all the travails of life in a merry sportive manner that she never got tired of the life as a game. When you enjoy a game with full involvement, you never withdraw from that game. Doing continuous service is the rule of her Life’s game. She has been the champion of that game always. Nobody in the world could beat her in this game which she played with no contender but herself.

*****

You see, in the final analysis,
it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
~ Mother Teresa

One huge step I took some years back that helped through this journey we call life and it was with just one thought...
Why do I care what others say about me, int he end it is just between God and I. This very simple thought changed my whole outlook on life. As always, Mother Teresa was light years ahead of me. Gotta love it. Thank you for sharing.:)

"this game which she played with no contender but herself." I love this part. My husband was fortunate enough to give her a lift many years ago.
