Unethical advertising is SPAM

Recently Wikinut pages are getting infested with SPAM comments from a business website 'bingstore'.

Unethical advertising is SPAM

Many pages on Wikinut are spammed by 'bingstore.us'.

I wanted to know what is this bingstore, and searched Google and found that many pages exist on the internet confirming that 'bingstore is a spammer.

You can find many reviews about this spammer stating that this website spams the websites like Wikinut inserting their ads as comments to the articles published by the contributes.

I also searched with the key words as "Wikinut bingstore' in Google and found that there are more than 800 Wikinut article pages spammed by this spammer.

Spamming with ads is an unethical business technique, and websites like bingstore indulge in some short term goals to attract traffic.

In one of the reviews about this spammer site it is said that "Landline telephone numbers should be provided but must be checked out" and when I checked the bingstore's 'Contact us' and About us' pages there is nothing mentioned about the phone numbers or about the organization.

I wonder how this website has been spared so far, even after confirming that the owners of this site are the sure spammers.

Power to delete spam

Look at the image showing the Google search results wherein you can find various Wikinut article links are listed that might have been spammed with bingstore ads as comments.

It has been informed by Wikinut moderator Mark Gordon Brown in his comment on the page about 'Stopping SPAM Comments at Wikinut' that "there is work being done. Right now the moderators can delete comments, but we of course do not see them all.. its just in testing for now - eventually authors will have the power too!"

So, let us look forward to see this improvement happen soon at Wikinut and then the authors would just delete the spammer comments by a powerful click.

The fact that we have to endure this is insulting and ultimately bad for all. Personally, I'm ashamed to refer readers to this site.

Wikinut had better come up with a solution very soon as these spammers spoil the page. Thanks great friend.

I am so glad to hear this. This is very frustrating for all of us writers on this site. We need to have the delete button to also remove spam messages from cyberbullies. A very good article

Great article and I think that very few of us haven't been spammed and it is endlessly annoying! I am so looking forward to this DELETE button that I might even throw it a party when it eventually arrives! lol..Rath...You are a Star in my eyes, thanks for publishing this page, and for your vigilant detective work too..I applaud you my friend..\0/

This is the kind of thing that is becoming a constant issue on the internet. It really needs to stop.

This subject came up in another article and moderator Mark Gordon Brown is helpful in letting know that in the future we will be able to manage the spam comments on our pages.

I want to remove spam comments like the one you mentioned that posted on my articles trying to sell shoes. Is it possible yet? they are appearing on all my wiki pages and I am considering stopping use of my wiki account. Do we have that power yet? I think it is very very important as an author to be able to delete defamatory or spamy comments.

Alicia Badilla, all you can do is just click "Contact us" under the Wikinut options menu and report the spam mentioning the page url.
